That’s the thing about Joey. I don’t think he knows the word no or the answer is no. He figured out a way, and for the most part, everything was. Oh, yea, we can do that. Oh, yea, we can figure that out. The day I returned from the hospital, I sat in our little dining area and looked at the kitchen. I told Margie you know, I just feel Joy looking at this kitchen as opposed to, you know, it wasn’t done, and I came home. I just make me feel so happy. It just brings joy to me to look at this kitchen and have this space. It was therapeutic, believe it or not!

The kitchen is beautiful. We love it, and we spend a lot of time in there cooking and just admiring it. You know, the lighting, the backsplash, the cabinets, and the flooring. Everything just tied in wonderfully, and we are so proud of it. Margie is the youngest of twelve siblings, and she’s lived in this house for a long time with her parents. They just passed, and the kitchen was the last thing to be renovated or changed. So when everything started to come into place with Gold Coast, she had some emotional times. I’m getting emotional now just talking about it. Now, this is our kitchen. We really wanted it, and I’m sure her mother happily looked down on us. Honestly, we totally love the outcome of the kitchen. The fact that we were able to relocate a refrigerator. We love spending time in the kitchen because it feels bright and full of life. I don’t know how to describe it, but there feels like a lot of energy in that kitchen now. We would see stuff on TV. We noticed a trend of uppers one color and lowering another color. And then, when we decided to take the refrigerator out. And we knew we would have that other cabinetry off to the side. That’s when Margie made the decision to have grey on the bottom. Joey helped out with that decision and helped us with how the setup would be and how many cabinets and so forth.
