It was an excellent experience. I love the job that Manny and Alex did in the bathroom. The tile is phenomenal. If there were any concerns, Joey addressed them immediately. It was an excellent experience; very comfortable. I am delighted. My bathroom is more extensive. It’s beautiful, and the work is all completed. I can relax in In there and not worry about any issues happening again.
Today’s customer testimonial features a beautiful bathroom and a great story. Joey and Abby met when she was born.
Gold Coast recently remodeled a bathroom in her home.

After the remodel, Abby presented the team with custom-made water bottles.

Now, Abby is busy making 200 pins for our favorite Gold Coast customers. Joey and Abby sat down to discuss why she started her business, her challenges, and the importance of persevering when things get tough.

I’m Joey. I’m the owner of Gold Coast Solutions.
I am Abby, the owner and founder of Sunshine Artisanias.
Wow, I need to start saying founder today. We’re going to be interviewing Abby about being a business owner. I have known Abby for ten years. I recently remodeled her bathroom, and it would be fun to have a little interview about running a business.
I make custom items. I make anything that people suggest, but I personally like to make our stickers, cups, and pins.
We’re the same because I’ll do bathrooms, kitchens, additions, whatever it is. Still, I have my favorites, and I have my least favorites.
There are some terrible things about making the cups because so many different things can happen.
I hated doing bathrooms when I first started out, and now bathrooms are one of my favorite things to remodel. Why did you start your business?
I first started making a lot of pins; I started selling them to family and friends. After that, I begged my mom to let me have Instagram to make my business bigger.
What is the most challenging or frustrating part of running your business?
So many things can go wrong; you never know what will come back.
When I go to like events, bag them up, and give them to customers, they are so happy. Customers tell me, “This is going to be a great gift,” or “I’m gonna love this.” I like the look on their face.
I liked the look on your face when we did your bathroom!
I was also blown away.
I was blown away when you gave me that cup! I was like, look what Abby made me. She made me this excellent cup, and I drink out of it almost every single day extremely useful, so thank you so much.
I feel the same when my customers’ projects are done. I see the glimmer in their eye.

What would you like to tell kids who Want to start a business? One of my friends wanted to start her own business, so where would I do it? What would I make, um, what if it doesn’t go well? It was the same thoughts that I had, like you had a few doubts in your mind; yeah, I was thinking, like, where am I going to do this? I started in my room at a tiny little table and the floor, so like you said, you started in your bedroom on your foot. Yes, I began in a garage, but I bought a crappy van and knocked on people’s doors, asking if they needed a construction project. It was like really, really, really embarrassing and rough, but it got me to where I am today, right. So, um yeah, it’s been quite the journey, and as you keep going, it’ll be quite the journey. Going Abby because you’re doing good, sunshine artisans; how did you think of that name? Oh, I thought of that name, um, because my mom always called me sunshine, and also I love like sunflowers and sunshine like you, just like that, okay. Then Artesanias is crafted in Spanish, so I want to bring in culture.
