At Gold Coast Solutions (GCS), we’re committed to making your custom cabinetry journey straightforward, enjoyable, and tailored to your home’s needs. Here’s a step-by-step guide to our cabinetry process, designed to give you peace of mind at every stage.
Step 1: In-Field Measurements and Preliminary Layout
Once framing is complete, the GCS team will visit your home to take precise in-field measurements. This step ensures that each cabinet will fit perfectly within its designated space. From these measurements, GCS creates a preliminary layout, which is shared with you for review. At this stage, you can request adjustments like drawer placement or the size of specific features such as a Lazy Susan.
Your Role:
Review the layout and share any preferences or adjustments.
Step 2: Revised Layout and Approval
Based on your feedback, GCS refines the layout to incorporate your choices. This revised layout includes essential details about cabinet dimensions and functionality but doesn’t yet focus on finishes.
Your Role:
Approve the updated layout so we can move forward with your preferences.
Step 3: Finish and Door Style Selection
With the layout approved, it’s time to select the finishes and door styles for your cabinetry. GCS offers options like paint-grade or stain-grade finishes and door styles such as shaker, raised panel, high gloss, or matte. To help you visualize the final product, GCS provides sample cabinet doors for you to approve before moving into production.
Your Role:
Select and approve the door style and finish you prefer.
Step 4: Manufacturing and Building Process
Once the layout and finishes are approved, the GCS team begins the manufacturing process. Using a CNC machine for precise cuts, your cabinets are carefully crafted and assembled offsite. During this stage, GCS provides an estimated start and completion date, so you know exactly when to expect progress.
Step 5: Cabinet Delivery and Installation
When your cabinets are ready, GCS will deliver and install them at your home. At this stage, the cabinets arrive unfinished, allowing for any necessary layout adjustments on-site. A milestone payment tied to the cabinetry delivery may be collected, as outlined in your contract.
Your Role:
Confirm the installation matches the approved layout.
Step 6: On-Site Finishing and Hardware Installation
Once installed, GCS completes the finishing work on-site, which includes staining, painting, or clear-coating, as specified in your selections. Any customer-provided cabinet pulls are installed during this step as well.
Your Role:
Confirm the final finish and hardware installation, signaling project completion.
Final Payment:
Your final payment is due upon the completion of all finishing and installation work.
